About Bolton FC
The club first participated in the FA Cup in the 1881/82 season.
In the first round of the cup on October 22, 1881, the match in their field with Igli ended with a score of 5: 5. On November 12, 1881, in a replay on the opponent’s field, Bolton Wanderers won 1-0, won the first victory in the cup and entered the second round of the cup. In the second round, November 19, 1881, the Bolton Wanderers lost to the Blackburn Rovers club with a score of 2: 6 and flew out of the competition.
In the 1882/83 season, the club won a record 6-1 win over the Bootle club in the first round and first entered the 3rd round of the cup, winning 3-0 over the Liverpool Ramblers club.
In the season 1883/84 in the first round, the club won a record 9-0 win over the Bolton Olympic club and first entered the 4th round of the cup, winning a 8-1 win over the Irwell Springs club .
In the 1888/89 season, in the replay of the second qualifying round, the club repeated a record victory with a score of 9: 0 over the club “West Manchester” (West Manchester).
In the 1889/90 season, in the second round, the club won a record 13-0 win over Sheffield United and made it to the semifinals for the first time, winning a 7-0 away win over the Bootle club.
In the season 1893/94, the club first reached the final, having won 2-1 over the Sheffield Wensday club in the semifinals. The Cup final was held March 31, 1894 at the Goodison Park Stadium. “Bolton Wanderers” lost to the club “Notts County” with a score of 1: 4.
In the 1895/96 season, the club reached the semifinals, winning 2-0 over the Bury club.
In 1923, Bolton won the FA Cup, beating West Ham United in the final with a score of 2-0.
In 1926, Bolton won the FA Cup, beating Manchester City in the final with a score of 1-0.
In 1929, Bolton won the FA Cup, defeating Portsmouth 2-0 in the final.
In 1958, Bolton won the FA Cup, defeating Manchester United 2-0 in the final.
